About the conference
“At ESET Security Days participants can enjoy the latest news from our own ESET kitchen. You will not only hear about what we offer to safeguard your business but you will receive valuable technology and security awareness insights along the way,” says ESET CEO Richard on ESET Security Days series launching in yet another country. “During the conference, attendees can always look forward to detailed presentations and reports on cyber threat landscape that we are currently facing,” he adds.
2015 Security Days by ESET, the leader in cyber-protection, had its maiden edition in Nigeria on Thursday, 10th September 2015. ESET Security Days is already well known in North and Latin America as a gathering of independent and ESET security experts with IT professionals, business people and the general public. More than five thousand people around world already attended.
The IT Security conference is not limited to ESET research − independent and non-ESET affiliated IT security experts provided presentations and leading discussions on cyber-threats and data protection issues which affect the current business environment. Attendees gained access to valuable know-how and technology support by our headline speakers. ‘ESET focused on the Economic Importance of Cyber Security in Nigeria businesses as the IT threat landscape has changed dramatically over the last few years in the region’ says ESET Country Manager, Olufemi Ake. In the past, the majority of attacks were meant simply to make headline news. Today, attacks have become more sophisticated and stealthy, targeting specific organizations and individuals to reap financial or political gain. Professional hackers continuously develop new tactics to gain unauthorized, undetected, and ongoing access to an organization’s systems and information
The first event took place at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria with attendees having the opportunity to see and learn from Mrs Adedoyin Odunfa, MD/CEO Digital Jewels, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Host, Tech Trends on Channels TV and Olufemi Ake, ESET Country Manager who elaborated on the value added security solutions ESET’s has to offer Nigeria businesses.
